5. Christmas Package - Double Room

This Christmas Package is available for the 24, 25 and 26 December. Christmas Eve: Pre-dinner, join the management team at 19:00 in the Champagne Lounge for champagne and canapes, accompanied by festive musical entertainment. A 5-course tasting menu follows in Victoria's Restaurant, where Christmas sounds from a resident Big Band singer provide the perfect accompaniment. Christmas Day: Awaken to the sounds of Father Christmas wishing all guests a Merry Christmas. A leisurely breakfast should prepare you for the traditional Grand Dip, where those guests who wish can join the Grand Jersey team in their morning sea swim. Spectators are welcome and a mulled wine or hot toddy awaits those returning from the water. Lunch will be served between 12:30 and 16:00. Edmond and his team extend a warm welcome to Victoria's for a 5-course festive extravaganza. The Queen's Speech can be viewed from the private cinema, in keeping with family and festive tradition. A programme of children's and family films will be shown in the cinema throughout the Christmas period. For those who feel peckish later in the evening, executive chef Adrian will prepare a traditional Christmas Day Buffet, whilst hotel pianist Collette tinkles the ivories. Boxing Day: Another long lie-in, followed by Boxing Day brunch. For those wishing to venture out of the hotel, a VIP guided tour of the Gerald Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust makes for a fun and educational afternoon. Enjoy a glass of champagne whilst observing the Orangutan family, a unique experience unlike any other Boxing Day you will have spent before. Return for soup and sandwiches and a chance to relax before the evening's festivities. For the less adventurous, a family movie, popcorn and nachos in the cinema, followed by a cookery demonstration by sous chef Edwin may be a less strenuous alternative. Beat your Boxing Day blues with the Boxing Day Masquerade Dinner Dance. A stunning Boxing Day 4-course dinner in Victoria's is a real alternative to television and leftover turkey. This New Year's Package is available on either the 30 and 31 December 2007, or 31 December 2007 and 01 January 2008. 30 December: Savour a relaxed 4-course dinner in Victoria's before the Grand Fun Casino begins. Try your hand at the blackjack or poker tables and hope lady luck is smiling on you at the roulette table, all with champagne accompaniment. Guests and diners can compete to win the top prize of a weekend to Bovey Castle, the sister hotel of the Grand Jersey in Dartmoor National Park. 31 December (Hogmanay): A 7-course New Year's Eve dinner in Victoria's is guaranteed to tempt even the most conservative of palates. Local bounty inspires fine cuisine in Grand Jersey tradition, with a contemporary twist. A traditional Scottish Pipe Band will provide early evening entertainment before dancing resumes into the wee small hours. 01 January (New Year's Day): A long night of partying calls for a hearty breakfast and chef's renowned Big Brunch is available all morning, until late into the afternoon (11:00 to 16:00).
